Cultivating Connections Since 2015

"Where Traditional Farming Meets Sustainable Tourism — Authentic Agricultural Heritage Experiences"

HarriCens Ceylon was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to connect the world with Sri Lanka's magnificent agricultural heritage through authentic, meaningful experiences. Founded in 2015 by H. JAGATH KUMARA — an agricultural expert with a deep passion for cultural preservation — the company emerged from the understanding that travel should be transformative, not merely scenic.

With 25 years of professional agricultural expertise gained as a certified Agriculture Instructor with Sri Lanka's Department of Agriculture, and a heart devoted to rural communities, we set out to create journeys that honour Sri Lanka's farming traditions while meeting the expectations of today's discerning international traveller.

Every journey is crafted to provide genuine encounters with local farming families, hands-on participation in crop cultivation, and immersive insights into sustainable agricultural practices that have sustained this island nation for millennia. This philosophy guides everything we do.

Vision & Mission

Our Guiding Purpose

The aspirations and commitments that define everything we do

Our Vision

To be recognised globally as the premier destination for authentic agro-tourism experiences in Sri Lanka, where international travellers discover the profound connections between land, culture, and community while contributing to sustainable agricultural development and rural economic empowerment.

Our Mission

We deliver exceptional agricultural and cultural immersion experiences by combining professional expertise in sustainable farming, intimate knowledge of rural Sri Lankan traditions, and commitment to responsible tourism practices that benefit local communities, preserve agricultural heritage, and create meaningful connections between visitors and the land that sustains us.

Core Values

The Principles That Define Us

Values that guide every experience, every partnership, every decision we make

Authenticity

Genuine agricultural experiences with working plantations and actual farming families. No simulations, no staged performances — only authentic encounters with Sri Lanka's living agricultural heritage.

Excellence

Expert agricultural guidance and meticulous attention to guest safety and satisfaction. A founder whose 25-year career trained thousands of Sri Lanka's farmers sets a standard no competitor can match.

Sustainability

Promoting organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices for environmental conservation. Daily operating principles — not marketing claims — built by someone who spent 25 years teaching farmers to care for their land.

Community Empowerment

Direct partnerships with farming families ensuring 60% of tourism revenue reaches rural communities. More than 50 rural families receive sustainable income annually through HarriCens Ceylon partnerships.

Trust & Integrity

Transparent communications and delivered promises fostering lifelong advocacy. HarriCens Ceylon's reputation rests entirely on the trust it earns and maintains with every guest, partner family, and collaborator.

Cultural Preservation

Preserving traditional agricultural knowledge and heritage crop cultivation methods. Creating income streams that make cultural preservation economically viable for farming families and the generations who will inherit their knowledge.
